Anton Khudobin 2013-14 Mask

Anton Khudobin of the Carolina Hurricanes (born May 7, 1986 in Ust-kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan.)

Artist: Ron Slater, of Slater Lettering and Graphics

Article: at InGoal Magazine:

With the Raleigh city skyline over Khudobin’s forehead, connected to the demons in the sky by lightning flashes, Slater has created a nice blend of big, bold symbols that are easily recognizable from a distance and more intricate detail that emerges when you see the mask up close.
The backplate features the coat of arms of the Russian Federation, altered to include the Russian flag in the center and underneath the double headed eagle. To the right of the eagle there is the number 22 to in memory of Khudobin’s former KHL teammate Igor Korolov,  who died in the  plane crash that involved Lokomotiv Yaroslavl two years ago. Khudobin has also added Lokomotiv Yaroslavl’s logo to his mask to further show his support.
